Position Overview

As an Architect, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality projects across various sectors. Working closely with clients, consultants and contractors, you will be involved in all stages of the design process, from developing project briefs to overseeing construction. Your passion for detailing and materiality, combined with a sound technical understanding, will ensure the successful execution of projects that meet both client expectations and regulatory requirements.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients, consultants and contractor teams to develop and deliver projects

  • Prepare project briefs, reports, proposals, applications and contracts

  • Apply for planning permission and liaise with building control and other legislative bodies

  • Produce technical design and specification information for construction

  • Conduct site visits and resolve issues that may arise during construction

  • Integrate sustainable design principles into new and existing projects

  • Mentor and guide junior staff members


Requirements

  • Minimum of two years' post-Part 2 experience in the UK

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and ArchiCAD (advantageous)

  • Strong design skills with a keen eye for detail and materiality

  • Sound technical knowledge and experience working to building codes and practice standards

  • Excellent leadership and teamwork abilities

  • Experience in contract administration and liaising with contractors
