Position Overview

As the BIM Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful digital delivery of projects by managing BIM protocols, data structures, workflows, and collaboration platforms. You will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining project BIM Execution Plans (BEP), establishing Common Data Environment (CDE) protocols, and defining information requirements in alignment with Exchange Information Requirements (EIRs) and Asset Information Requirements (AIRs).


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the project's BIM Execution Plan (BEP) in alignment with ISO 19650

  • Establish and enforce Common Data Environment (CDE) protocols for information exchange and version control

  • Define information requirements, ensuring compliance with Exchange Information Requirements (EIRs) and Asset Information Requirements (AIRs)

  • Provide training and assistance to the project team, explaining procedures and standards

  • Monitor and support the development of BIM models across different project stages

  • Coordinate data modelling and handover of information

  • Liaise with the design team

  • Ensure adherence to Level of Information Need (LOIN) requirements in accordance with project specifications


Requirements

  • Minimum five years' experience in BIM management

  • Navisworks and COBie experience is essential

  • Capable of showing a solid working background in the delivery of BIM projects

  • Facilitate BIM workshops and training sessions for project stakeholders

  • Implement and oversee Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) checks on BIM models

  • Experience with common data environments

  • Manage and resolve clashes through federated model reviews, using tools like Navisworks and ACC collaboration tools

  • Support teams in the use of Revit, Navisworks, Dynamo and other BIM software

  • Act as a key point of contact for BIM-related queries and troubleshooting

  • Excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and a proactive and positive disposition

  • Good at relationship building with the ability to liaise at all levels
