Position Overview

As a Senior Architect, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of the practice's commercial retrofit division. You will be responsible for managing project teams and overseeing the delivery of complex, large-scale projects, such as a £50 million development near Spitalfields for a major client. This position offers the opportunity to expand your expertise into the residential and hotel leisure markets, contributing to the practice's growth and diversification.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead project teams to ensure successful delivery of large-scale commercial retrofit projects

• Oversee the design and technical aspects of projects, ensuring adherence to client requirements, budgets, and timelines

• Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration

• Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering their professional development

• Contribute to the practice's expansion into residential and hotel leisure markets

• Ensure compliance with building regulations, planning requirements, and sustainability standards

Requirements

• Proven experience in leading and delivering complex architectural projects, particularly in the commercial retrofit sector

• Strong technical skills and proficiency in relevant design software

• Excellent leadership and project management abilities

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

• Familiarity with UK building regulations and planning processes
