Our client, an AJ100 architectural practice, is seeking a talented Senior Urban Designer to join their team in Central London. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects, from residential developments to educational facilities and mixed-use schemes, while utilising cutting-edge technology to create vibrant, sustainable communities.

Position Overview

As a Senior Urban Designer, you will play a pivotal role in leading the design and development of urban projects, ensuring they align with client objectives and community needs. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create innovative, sustainable design solutions that invigorate communities and maximise long-term value.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of urban projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives and community needs

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create innovative, sustainable design solutions across various sectors

• Engage with stakeholders, including local authorities and community groups, to gather input and foster positive relationships

• Utilise cutting-edge technology and design software to produce high-quality visualisations and presentations

• Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment

Requirements

• A degree in Urban Design, Architecture, or a related field

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in urban design or a similar role, preferably within an AJ100 practice

• Proficiency in design software such as Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite

• Strong understanding of planning regulations and policies, particularly in residential and mixed-use developments but also edication and life science would be a plus.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders and communities
