Position Overview
As a Senior Interior Designer, you’ll play a pivotal role in leading the delivery of inspiring fit-out projects for high-profile clients in Central London, including workplace and hospitality interiors. Reporting to the Head of Interiors, based in Scotland, you’ll oversee all project phases and act as the most senior interiors professional in the London office.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Design Leadership: Oversee all phases of interior design projects, including space planning, concept development, FF&E, and technical delivery.
Client Management: Act as the primary client contact, ensuring their vision is translated into exceptional design solutions.
Team Mentorship: Guide and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Project Coordination: Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure seamless delivery.
Technical Expertise: Produce 2D and 3D drawings, technical documentation, and detailed design packages.
Material & Vendor Sourcing: Stay ahead of industry trends, sourcing sustainable and innovative materials to enhance your designs.
Collaboration: Work closely with consultants, with an understanding of M&E coordination, to deliver fully integrated solutions.
About You
You’ll be an experienced, client-facing Senior Interior Designer who thrives on taking ownership of projects and delivering excellence. Key qualifications and skills include:
7+ years’ experience in commercial and workplace interiors, with a strong portfolio of high-quality projects.
Proficiency in design software such as ArchiCAD (preferred but not essential), AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, and InDesign.
In-depth knowledge of UK Building Regulations and compliance standards.
Excellent technical drawing and FF&E experience, with an eye for detail.
Strong leadership and mentoring abilities, with the confidence to lead a team.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects at various stages.
